Rayan is the only processor of glass in Atlantic Canada. Because of our dedication to the environment and commitment to value-added innovation, over time Rayan has developed several processing techniques to serve various value-added markets including the most recent one, a unique compound powder made of cleaned, ground-up and classified glass which can be exported out of New Brunswick into domestic and international markets. Rayan is the only company in North America manufacturing this product from used glass.

Value-added expertise

The uniqueness and potential our value-added product – which Rayan will be bringing to market soon – have garnered the interest of both the federal and provincial governments, who have invested in R&D and the process due to its significant export potential. These investments have allowed Ryan to purchase and further develop specialized equipment enabling the company to produce the value-added glass powder for various export markets.

Export potential

As the only glass processor in Atlantic Canada, Rayan will now be able to increase its export sales and diversify its markets, while also achieving clean growth with products that are more environmentally friendly. The equipment and enhanced processes will open opportunities with markets seeking processed, cleaned and graded glass. These potential markets include paints, adhesives grouts, decorative, roofing and vinyl extrusion. The project will also create four new jobs at our Moncton facility.
